About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Front End Engineer to join our AI Experiences and Integrations squad. In this pivotal role, you will own the front-end architecture that powers our AI-native product surfaces, primarily utilizing Typescript and ensuring seamless interoperability with Dart. Your expertise will drive the development of streaming chat experiences, agentic workflow interactions, tool calling, reasoning modules, and human-in-the-loop functionalities. This position offers a unique opportunity to influence the technical direction of our front-end systems, collaborate closely with machine learning engineers, product managers, and designers, and translate complex AI model capabilities into intuitive, fast, and trustworthy user experiences. As a high-visibility contributor, you will set standards, mentor team members, and establish best practices to elevate our front-end engineering capabilities across the organization.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4+ years of front-end engineering experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
• Advanced proficiency in TypeScript and modern frontend frameworks such as React
• Proven experience building reusable frontend SDKs or internal libraries for AI patterns
• Strong understanding of browser performance issues related to long-lived web sockets, server-sent events, and real-time streaming
• Experience with microfrontend architectures and scaling front-end platforms
• Knowledge of monitoring AI UX metrics like TTFT, user correction rates, and client-side model latency
• Experience integrating Dart and TypeScript microfrontends for interoperability
• Proven ability to develop technical roadmaps and align multiple product squads
• Experience working in distributed/cloud environments and in agile, continuous delivery settings
• Strong mentorship skills and a track record of elevating team technical standards

Responsibilities

• Define and own the front-end architecture for AI-native product surfaces, including streaming interfaces, agentic workflows, and model-assisted UIs
• Establish design patterns for integrating large language model (LLM) APIs and real-time data streams into production front-end systems
• Drive architectural decisions balancing scalability, performance, and developer experience
• Contribute hands-on to complex feature development and support implementation across teams
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and platform teams to align on standards and technical direction
• Partner with leadership to shape AI-driven user experiences and influence product roadmaps
• Communicate technical concepts, trade-offs, and decisions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Mentor engineers, promote best practices, and provide technical guidance to elevate front-end expertise
• Establish metrics and feedback loops to monitor system performance and user experience
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across distributed front-end and backend ecosystems
