SHI Channel Sales Engineer Full Time

This role combines deep technical expertise with strategic pre-sales engagement, supporting enterprise customers and channel partners in designing and adopting advanced cyber resilience solutions. You will act as a trusted technical advisor across complex sales cycles, translating business challenges into scalable technical architectures that drive measurable value. Working closely with sales teams, executives, and SHI channel stakeholders, you will shape solution strategies, lead technical demonstrations, and guide proof-of-concept engagements. The position requires strong customer-facing skills, as well as the ability to influence technical and business decision-makers at all levels. You will play a key role in accelerating revenue growth while ensuring solutions are aligned with customer needs and long-term success. This is a high-impact, remote-friendly role within a fast-paced, enterprise-focused environment.

Accountabilities

• Partner with sales teams to develop territory plans, account strategies, and technical sales approaches for enterprise and channel customers.
• Serve as a trusted technical advisor to senior IT leaders, including C-level stakeholders, to understand business, financial, and operational requirements.
• Translate complex customer needs into technical solution designs, deployment approaches, and implementation roadmaps.
• Lead and support technical discovery sessions, solution architecture discussions, demonstrations, and proof-of-concept engagements.
• Build strong relationships with SHI channel partners and other stakeholders to drive pipeline growth and customer success.
• Coordinate internal technical resources across sales, product, support, and engineering teams to ensure successful deal execution.
• Deliver executive-ready presentations and business cases highlighting technical value, ROI, and solution impact.
• Maintain ongoing technical account plans for key customers using structured sales methodologies.
• Provide technical enablement and guidance to channel and alliance partners.
• Continuously monitor market and technology trends to inform sales strategy and customer engagement approaches.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in the software, storage, or enterprise IT industry.
• 3+ years of experience in a pre-sales Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, or similar customer-facing technical role.
• Strong experience supporting enterprise or commercial accounts in complex sales environments.
• Proven ability to design and present data protection, backup, recovery, or infrastructure solutions.
• Solid understanding of enterprise technologies including storage, servers, networking, cloud, and hyper-converged environments.
• Familiarity with virtualization platforms, operating systems, and/or cloud ecosystems.
• Experience with proof-of-concept design, technical demonstrations, and solution architecture.
• Strong consultative selling skills, including ability to align technical solutions with business outcomes and ROI.
• Excellent communication skills with ability to engage both technical teams and executive stakeholders.
• Experience with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and structured sales methodologies (MEDDIC, Challenger, SPIN, etc.) is preferred.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field is a plus.
