About The Role

We are seeking a highly experienced ServiceNow Software Developer Senior to join our team remotely and support the DCSA One IT program. In this pivotal role, you will leverage your deep expertise in the ServiceNow platform to develop, customize, and automate IT service management processes, thereby enhancing operational efficiency and security. Your responsibilities will include designing and implementing complex workflows, scripting, and integrations to streamline business operations and support the enterprise IT infrastructure modernization efforts. You will work closely with stakeholders, including technical teams and business users, to understand requirements, develop innovative solutions, and ensure platform stability and performance. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to national security initiatives by delivering robust ServiceNow solutions that support critical government operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with at least 14 years of relevant experience, Master’s degree with 12 years, or Doctorate/JD with 9 years.
• Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in ServiceNow development and administration.
• Secret security clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain one.
• Extensive experience with ServiceNow platform capabilities, including scripting, customization, and configuration.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and related programming languages.
• Strong understanding of ITIL processes and best practices.
• Experience working within Agile/Scrum development environments.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop and configure ServiceNow functionalities using Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, UI Actions, Script Includes, and Flow Designer.
• Customize ServiceNow applications and manage configuration changes to ensure platform stability.
• Create workflows, scripts, business rules, UI policies, UI actions, and notifications to support business processes.
• Write and maintain server-side and client-side JavaScript code for automation and functionality enhancements.
• Implement automation workflows using Flow Designer and Glide APIs to manipulate data and enforce logic.
• Design and implement integrations between ServiceNow and other enterprise systems utilizing REST/SOAP APIs and integration hubs.
• Automate routine tasks and business processes to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual efforts.
• Maintain data quality across ServiceNow tables, including configuration of reference fields, choice lists, and catalog items.
• Support Configuration Management Database (CMDB) updates and basic relationship management.
• Perform data imports, transform maps, and support data integrity initiatives.
• Conduct unit and functional testing of developed solutions, troubleshoot issues, and implement bug fixes.
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and post-deployment validation activities.
• Monitor platform performance, identify technical debt or risks, and adhere to best practices for platform upgrades and development.
