Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced API Automation Engineer with strong expertise in Java-based testing frameworks, particularly REST Assured and the Spock Framework, to design and implement scalable automated test solutions for RESTful services.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated API test scripts using REST Assured
• Build BDD-style test cases using the Spock Framework
• Validate API responses (status codes, payload, headers, schema)
• Integrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins)
• Collaborate with developers and QA teams to understand requirements and define test strategies
• Perform data-driven and regression testing for microservices
• Identify, log, and track defects effectively

Required Skills

• Strong programming skills in Java
• Hands-on experience with REST Assured for API automation
• Strong expertise in the Spock Framework (BDD, mocking, data-driven testing)
• Knowledge of HTTP protocols, REST principles, and JSON/XML
• Experience with build tools like Maven or Gradle
• Familiarity with version control tools like Git
