The Work — Real Painting, Done RightExteriors (Heavy Volume — This Is Where We Live)

Full-exterior repaints on RI and MA homes — colonials, capes, ranches, Victorians, multi-families, and the occasional commercial building. You’ll be doing:

• Real prep — power washing, scraping, sanding, spot-priming, caulking, glazing. The kind of prep that earns the warranty.
• Minor carpentry repairs — swapping rotted trim, fascia, soffits, sills, and clapboards cleanly
• Siding work — clapboard, cedar shake, vinyl, fiber cement, T1-11
• Trim, fascia, soffits, frieze boards, corner boards, water tables
• Windows, doors, sashes, storm doors, garage doors
• Foundations and masonry when specified
• Decks, porches, railings, columns — stain and paint
• Gutters and downspouts when the scope calls for it
• Spray, back-roll, and brush — comfortable with all three, knows when each belongs
• Ladder and staging up to 3 stories, safely and confidently

Interiors (Year-Round Bread and Butter)

Mostly occupied homes, which means professionalism, cleanliness, and respect for the customer’s space matter as much as the finish itself. Scope:

• Full prep — patching, skim coating, sanding, caulking, priming
• Walls and ceilings — every sheen, smooth and textured
• Trim and millwork — baseboards, casings, crown, chair rail, wainscoting, built-ins
• Interior doors, closet doors, French doors
• Stairs and railings — stained handrails, painted balusters
• Accent walls — clean lines, zero bleed
• Drywall and plaster repair — patches, cracks, water damage, full skim coats
• Spraying on new construction and vacant homes
• Daily site protection and broom-clean cleanup — non-negotiable

Cabinets (Plus, Not Required)

Most of our hourly painters won’t be on cabinets — we have a dedicated process for those. But if you’ve got legitimate cabinet refinishing experience (proper degrease, sand, prime, spray urethane or pre-cat lacquer), that’s a serious plus and opens up extra work and pay.

What You Won’t Be Doing

No standalone power washing. No random small carpentry jobs. No standalone deck builds. Our scopes are focused, which means your days are predictable and your production is clean.

What We’re Looking For

• 3+ years professional painting experience on both interior and exterior
• Prep skills that match what we just described — no shortcuts
• Brush, roller, and sprayer proficiency
• Reliable transportation
• Your own basic hand tools
• Clean appearance, respectful presence in customer homes
• On time, every time. This is the line. Cross it twice and we’re not the right fit.
• English communication strong enough to coordinate with crew leads, production, and homeowners
• Valid driver’s license
• Able to lift 50+ lbs and work comfortably on ladders/staging

Bonus: Cabinet refinishing experience, RRP lead-safe certification, plaster/drywall repair, bilingual (Spanish or Portuguese).
