About The Role

We are seeking a talented and motivated Software Engineer to join our Developer Experience team at Chronosphere, a Palo Alto Networks company. The role focuses on enhancing the user experience for our industrial-scale SaaS observability platform, which is designed for control in modern, containerized environments. As part of the team, you will be responsible for developing intuitive, fast, and reliable interfaces that enable software engineers to diagnose and resolve incidents efficiently. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams—including Product, Design, and other Engineering groups—to translate complex telemetry data into actionable, visually compelling workflows and dashboards. Your work will directly impact our customers by simplifying complex data, reducing troubleshooting time, and improving overall platform usability. This role offers the opportunity to work remotely, collaborate across geographies, and contribute to a product trusted by leading brands such as DoorDash, Affirm, and Zillow.

Qualifications

• Proven experience owning projects from inception to delivery, collaborating effectively with product managers, UX designers, and engineers.
• Hands-on experience with observability tools and working with large-scale distributed systems to understand customer challenges.
• Strong curiosity and motivation to learn deep, complex technical domains.
• Ability to seek feedback proactively and ask for help when necessary to improve work quality.
• Flexible and collaborative working style suited to a rapidly evolving environment.
• Fluency in building products using TypeScript and React.
• Experience with modern web development frameworks and APIs, including GraphQL and Node.js, is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive development of user experiences that surface critical insights at a glance, streamline troubleshooting, and reduce cognitive load during high-pressure situations.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to translate complex observability data into intuitive interfaces and workflows.
• Question design choices, incorporate user feedback, and take ownership of the quality of delivered features.
• Work with engineering teams across the organization to evolve UI and API architectures, ensuring scalability and performance.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of automated tests, tooling, and deployment infrastructure to enhance efficiency.
• Mentor colleagues in engineering reliable, high-performance user experiences through code reviews and infrastructure improvements.
• Participate in shaping the product’s strategic direction and help evolve the overall platform architecture to meet scaling and product needs.
