Full Job Description
Apex Fire Protection LLC is a local fire protection company serving Cincinnati and surrounding areas. We provide fire extinguisher inspections, fire extinguisher service/replacement, exit sign service, and emergency lighting service for commercial properties.
We are hiring a high-energy outside sales representative to visit local businesses, property managers, plazas, restaurants, offices, warehouses, churches, daycares, and retail centers to book compliance walkthroughs and close new service accounts.
This is a strong opportunity for someone who is comfortable walking into businesses, talking to managers, and creating new accounts from the ground up.
What you will sell
- Fire extinguisher inspections
- Fire extinguisher service and replacements
- Exit sign service and replacement
- Emergency lighting service, batteries, heads, and replacements
- Annual compliance walkthroughs
- Multi-location service accounts
What you will do
- Visit local business plazas, restaurants, offices, warehouses, and commercial properties
- Introduce Apex Fire Protection to managers and owners
- Book free fire/life-safety compliance walkthroughs
- Identify outdated extinguisher tags, missing extinguishers, damaged exit signs, and emergency lighting issues
- Take photos and basic notes for quoting
- Follow up with prospects until they approve service
- Maintain daily activity logs and pipeline updates

Who we want
- Comfortable walking into businesses and starting conversations
- Confident talking to owners, managers, and property managers

- Organized with follow-up
- Valid driver’s license
- Reliable transportation
- Outside sales, route sales, canvassing, pest control, HVAC, roofing, uniform sales, janitorial sales, or B2B sales experience is a plus
- Fire protection experience is not required — we train on the basics
Compensation
This role is performance-based and rewards activity/results.
Compensation may include:
- Paid training
- Pay per qualified completed walkthrough
- Commission on collected new-account revenue
- Bonuses for multi-location accounts
- Mileage reimbursement
- Advancement into territory manager role
Top performers can grow into a full-time territory sales role as Apex expands into additional fire/life-safety services.
Schedule
Monday–Friday. Daytime business hours. Some flexibility available.
Important
This is an in-person outside sales role. You will be visiting businesses daily. This is not a remote sales job.
Pay: $65,148.00 – $94,000.00 per year
