Job Title: Electrical Panel Builder
Job Description
This role focuses on building and wiring electrical control panels in a UL 508A facility that designs and assembles automation systems for agricultural fertilizer operations. You will read and interpret schematics and blueprints, perform precise electrical wiring, and assemble both small and large control panels using hand and power tools in a clean, climate-controlled environment.
Responsibilities
Build and assemble electrical control panels in a UL 508A facility according to engineering drawings and specifications.
Read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints to determine layout, wiring routes, and component placement.
Perform electrical wiring for control panels, including work with VFDs, fuses, and contactors.
Work with 480V electrical systems safely and accurately following established procedures.
Use hand and power tools to cut, strip, crimp, and terminate wires and to install components within panels.
Measure and mark layouts accurately using a tape measure to ensure precise assembly and fit.
Assist in building PLC panels and related assemblies when needed.
Support the build of both small panels that can be completed in hours and larger projects that may take several weeks.
Collaborate with the team to complete projects on time and take on additional tasks when assigned so that work hours remain consistent.
Maintain a clean and organized work area and handle tools and equipment with care.
Follow safety guidelines and quality standards to ensure reliable, compliant electrical panels.
Essential Skills
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Hands-on experience with electrical wiring.
Experience working with VFDs, fuses, and contactors.
Knowledge and safe use of hand and power tools.
Experience working with 480V electrical systems.
Ability to accurately read and use a tape measure.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience building PLC panels is a plus.
Familiarity with control panel assembly and panel wiring.
Comfort working from detailed diagrams and technical documentation.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.

Work Environment
You will work on-site in a very clean, climate-controlled facility operating as a UL 508A panel shop . The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., totaling 40 hours per week with little to no overtime. The work involves using standard electrical and mechanical hand and power tools to assemble control panels of varying sizes, from smaller enclosures completed in a few hours to large, complex builds that may span several weeks. All tools and uniforms are provided, and you will receive support for safety footwear and prescription safety glasses. The environment emphasizes safety, organization, and consistent, full-time hours.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45760.00 – $54080.00/yr.
