What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)

• Schedule all surgical procedures and collect complete clinical and insurance coding information
• Confirm patient insurance provider and secure prior authorization as needed
• Communicate with hospital surgery schedulers to verify alignment with office procedure schedules
• Provide detailed instructions to patients regarding test preparations and address their questions
• Coordinate with surgeons and other departments to facilitate surgical scheduling for all age groups

What Is Required (Qualifications)

• High school diploma or equivalent experience
• 0-2 years of experience in a healthcare or clinical setting
• All experience must be paid and in a related field
• Ability to perform tasks with repetitive motions, such as typing
• Capability of lifting, pushing, or pulling objects weighing up to 50 pounds
