Entry Level Aerospace Engineer Full Time NEW

Aviation & Missile Solutions, LLC. (AMS) is seeking a talented Aerospace Engineer to join our diverse team, in Huntsville, AL., to create unique solutions for complex problems. AMS provides responsive, cost-effective engineering and scientific solutions ranging from air and missile defense technologies, command and control, radar systems, seekers, modeling & simulation, and prototype hardware development and testing.

Position Description

The Engineer in this role will support team-oriented projects involving missile system modeling and analysis. The position will include the evaluation and analysis of all missile system components including aerodynamics, propulsion, guidance, navigation and control, engagement planning, and airframe configuration design.

Required Experience

Basic Qualifications (required):

• Candidate must have academic training and/or experience with aerospace modeling and simulation.
• Candidate must have experience in the following areas: modeling, numerical analysis, data analytics, and computer programming for engineers.
• Applicable areas of modeling experience include three- and six-degree-of-freedom motion, liquid and solid propellant motors, aerodynamics, and flight control systems.
• Candidate must have good people skills and the desire to work with a highly technical team of engineers and scientists.?
• Candidate must be able to comfortably interact with and present to customers, coworkers and management on a regular basis.

Preferred Skills/Abilities

• Resident of the Huntsville, AL area or be willing to relocate.
• Software development skills in object-oriented programming principles preferred but not required.
• Experience in MATLAB/Simulink and/or Python is a plus.

Required Education And Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or greater in Aerospace Engineering from an ABET-accredited university with a 3.5 GPA or higher.

Travel Requirements

• Must be able to travel up to 10% of the year.

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift 30-40 pounds at times.
• Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.

Security Requirements

• Citizenship: Candidate must a US only citizen.
• Clearance level: possess (and be able to maintain) a Final SECRET/SSBI Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Final SECRET Clearance.
