We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant with strong manufacturing accounting expertise to manage the full accounting cycle for our operations. This role is responsible for cost accounting, inventory management, monthly close, financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with GAAP. The ideal candidate is hands‑on, detail‑oriented, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Full‑Cycle Accounting
· Manage the complete accounting cycle, including GL, AP, AR, payroll entries, journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations
· Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
· Lead month‑end and year‑end close processes within established deadlines
· Maintain accurate general ledger and supporting schedules
Manufacturing & Cost Accounting
· Perform cost accounting activities, including standard costing, variance analysis, and overhead allocation
· Analyze bill of materials (BOMs), labor costs, and manufacturing overhead
· Monitor work‑in‑process (WIP), finished goods, and raw material inventory
· Reconcile inventory accounts and investigate discrepancies
· Partner with operations to improve cost controls and production efficiency
Inventory & Fixed Assets
· Oversee inventory management, physical counts, and cycle counts
· Ensure accurate valuation of inventory in compliance with GAAP
· Manage fixed assets, including capitalization, depreciation, and disposals
Reporting & Analysis
· Prepare detailed management reports, cost analyses, and financial forecasts
· Identify trends, risks, and opportunities for process improvements
· Support budgeting and forecasting activities
Compliance & Controls
· Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and company policies
· Assist with external audits, internal audits, and tax support
· Maintain documentation and ensure accurate financial records
Systems & Process Improvement
· Utilize and support ERP systems (manufacturing ERP experience strongly preferred)
· Recommend and implement accounting process improvements
· Train and support junior accounting staff as needed
Qualifications
Education & Experience
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (Required)
· 5+ years of accounting experience, with significant manufacturing and cost accounting experience
· Proven experience managing full‑cycle accounting in a manufacturing environment
Technical Skills
· Strong knowledge of GAAP
· Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas)
· Experience with ERP systems (manufacturing ERP preferred)
· Strong understanding of inventory, WIP, standard costing, and variance analysis

· Experience in manufacturing

Work Environment
· On‑site, five days a week.
