Payroll Clerk Full Time

Position Summary

The right person will have a friendly and positive attitude, excellent written and verbal communication skills, the ability to multi-task, be efficient and comfortable being a member of a team and work individually. Must work well under pressure with a substantial workload, be highly organized, capable of meeting deadlines, have experience with payroll, experience with daily office duties and realize the importance of communication with the rest of the team.

Key Responsibilities (include but not limited to)

· Payroll (including H2A)

· Payroll taxes

· Manage L&I claims

· Garnishments and Child Support Orders – respond to agency, calculate, enter into employee record

· Process payroll advances & set up payments in employee record

· Employment verifications

· Help with W2s, W3s, 1099s at year end as needed

· Data Entry as needed

· Back up for office staff as needed

Job Requirements

· Strong ability in MS Word and Excel

· Strong organizational and time management skills

· Ability to perform tasks without supervision, self-starter and independently motivated

· Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment

· Punctual attendance and strong attention to detail and dates

· Absolute ability to maintain employee confidence and protect payroll operations by keeping information confidential

*Experience preferred but not required. We’d be willing to train the person with the right skills.

Pay: $17.13 – $23.00 per hour
