What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)
- Serve as the primary point of contact for providers and Medicare contractors, addressing inquiries promptly and accurately
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with healthcare providers and colleagues
- Handle inbound and outbound calls to resolve complex issues and confirm receipt of documentation
- Educate providers on process protocols and their appeal rights
- Enter and update all relevant communication and activity logs accurately
What Is Required (Qualifications)
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a call center or customer service role
- High School diploma or GED required
- Must maintain HIPAA Certification
- Proficient in data entry with strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to learn CMS rules and regulations and understand the CMS Recovery Audit Contractor program
How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
- At least one (1) year of claims processing or billing experience
- Familiarity with healthcare and insurance terminology
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to handle non-standard situations with flexibility
