Job Summary
The Blaster is responsible for abrading surfaces of metal or hard composition objects to remove adhering scale, sand, paint, grease, tar, rust, and dirt, and to impart a specified finish.
Responsibilities and Duties
· Remove dirt, paint, grease, and other built-up material from surfaces.
· Set up and operate a blast booth or similar equipment.
· Load and unload the blast cabinet.
· Assist with painting or coating as needed.
· Apply and remove non-skid materials as needed.
Qualifications
· High school diploma or GED certificate
· Previous sandblasting experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
· Must have a current C-7 certification
· Must have or be able to obtain a secret clearance
· Experience working with or removing heavy metals a plus.
· Familiarity with power tools

Physical Requirements
· Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
· Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds at times.
· Manual dexterity as needed to operate a variety of machinery and equipment.
· Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and tolerate exposure to typical noises.

Pay: $30.00 – $32.00 per hour
