Founding Operations Associate Full Time

Role Description

This is our first non-engineering hire. There’s no playbook, just a set of outcomes that need to happen. We’ll give you the problems, the direction, the support, and then get out of your way.

You’ll oversee the work that sits between what we sell and what we deliver. You’ll operate the magic that brands feel when they use our products. Success in this role will be measured by our customers’ satisfaction with our products and the impact we make on their business.

Responsibilities & Expectations

• Customer onboarding. Build the processes and playbooks that make signing up on the Eileen platform as easy as possible for brands.
• Marketplace balance. Ensure we have shoppers ready to meet customer demand wherever it shows up, and that shoppers using our apps have a delightful experience.
• Quality control. Details matter in our business. You’ll make sure what we deliver to customers is perfect and develop playbooks, so QC doesn’t stay human-reliant.
• Interpretation. Build the reporting, visualizations, and most importantly the action recommendations our customers rely on.
• Process improvement. Identify where and why processes break and bring ideas and recommendations to the engineering team.
• Engineering partnership. Work alongside engineering to pressure-test your solutions and figure out how they integrate into the broader stack.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of work experience.
• Exceptional quantitative skill and extreme attention to detail.
• Excellent written and presentation communication.
• You’ve competed at something; sports, business, military anything that required you to want to win more than the person next to you.
• You’ve figured things out without being handed a manual.
• You’ve paid attention to what it takes to get an outcome, not just what looks good on a slide.

Compensation

• Base salary: $85,000–$90,000
• Equity: 0.75%–1.0%, 4-year vest with a 1-year cliff
• Stage: Pre-seed, recently closed a $1M round led by a top-tier venture firm
• Team: You’d be the 5th member of the company (2 founders, 2 engineers, you)

Location

• Remote. Nashville, TN preferred for periodic in-person collaboration.
