Job Title: Senior Sales Manager (Chemical Distribution)

Overview
MK Search is partnering with a growing organization in the chemical distribution sector to identify a Senior Sales Manager to lead, develop, and scale a regional sales team. This individual will play a critical role in driving profitability, strengthening team performance, and building long-term customer value across key markets.
Key Responsibilities
– Lead, manage, and mentor a team of 12+ sales representatives across California and Arizona
– Monitor individual and team performance, ensuring accountability to KPIs and continuous improvement
– Drive a margin-focused sales strategy, prioritizing profitability and sustainable growth over top-line revenue
– Analyze sales data, pricing structures, and customer trends to identify opportunities for margin expansion
– Coach team members on deal strategy, negotiation, and value-based selling
– Build strong relationships with key customers and support reps in closing high-value deals
– Implement sales processes, reporting frameworks, and performance tracking systems
– Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, procurement, and leadership teams
Ideal Candidate Profile
– 7+ years of experience in chemical distribution sales, with a strong understanding of industry dynamics
– Proven experience managing and developing sales teams
– Highly analytical with strong numerical and problem-solving skills
– A “hustler” mentality—proactive, resourceful, and driven to win business
– Demonstrated ability to think beyond transactional sales and build long-term customer partnerships
– Strong leadership presence with humility—able to earn trust and respect from the team
– Comfortable balancing hands-on deal involvement with strategic oversight
– Based in California or Arizona, with the ability to effectively support a distributed team
