Position Description:
As a JavaScript Developer Contractor, you will support the development and maintenance of web applications using JavaScript. Develop and maintain front-end and back-end components of web applications using JavaScript. Collaborate with designers and other developers to implement user interfaces and improve user experience. Conduct testing and debugging to ensure the functionality and performance of web applications, and participate in code reviews to provide constructive feedback. Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following best practices. Stay updated with the latest JavaScript frameworks and libraries to recommend and implement improvements.

12+ years of programming and software development experience.
Proven experience leading and managing software engineering teams, including driving collaboration, mentoring team members, and delivering against project goals.
Demonstrated experience with AWS cloud computing, including Serverless and/or EKS.
Proficiency in API development using REST and/or GraphQL.
Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code, including tools such as Terraform.
Working knowledge of modern frameworks and libraries such as React.js and Node.js.
Strong proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, and/or Python.
Familiarity with document databases such as MongoDB and/or DynamoDB.
Experience with AI enablement, including:
AI agent programming using platforms/tools such as OpenAI, Anthropic, and MCP
Coding assistant usage, including familiarity with Claude and GitHub Copilot
Experience with automated and unit testing tools such as Jest, Cypress, NUnit/XUnit, and Moq.
Proficiency with Git/GitHub.
Proven CI/CD experience with tools such as CloudBees Jenkins and IBM UrbanCode.
Understanding of authentication and authorization standards, including OAuth 2.0 and OIDC.
Experience with observability and monitoring platforms such as Dynatrace, ELK Stack, and OpenTelemetry.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments using tools such as Jira and Rally.
