Assistant Category Manager- Packaged Beverage and Alcohol Full Time NEW

Position Summary

The Assistant Category Manager supports category strategy and execution for packaged beverages and alcohol. This role focuses on promotions, pricing, supplier coordination, merchandising, and data analysis to drive category growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

• Process promotional billing, vendor rebates, and support vendor setup

• Maintain and validate pricebook data including item setup, cost, and retail pricing

• Conduct sales and margin analysis to support category decisions

• Manage promotions, planograms, and merchandising updates across systems

• Support planogram creation and store resets and rollouts

• Coordinate product distributions and track delivery to stores

• Monitor loyalty programs and store-level execution

• Collaborate with wholesalers and suppliers to ensure accurate product flow

• Partner with beverage and alcohol vendors on promotions and seasonal programs

• Monitor high-volume SKU performance and inventory flow

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in retail, merchandising, or category support

• Experience with beverage or alcohol categories is a plus

• Strong analytical and organizational skills

• Proficiency in Excel and retail systems

• Detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple priorities
