Vice President of Delivery
Position Overview
The Vice President of Delivery is responsible for leading the successful execution and delivery of products, services, and strategic projects across the organization. This executive role focuses on operational excellence, client satisfaction, on-time delivery, resource alignment, and continuous improvement. The position works closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality outcomes that support business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Delivery Strategy & Execution
Develop and implement delivery strategies aligned with business objectives
Oversee the end-to-end delivery of products, services, or client solutions
Ensure projects and deliverables are completed on time and within scope
Improve delivery models to support scalability and efficiency
Operational Performance
Establish delivery standards, processes, and performance expectations
Monitor key delivery metrics including quality, timelines, and productivity
Identify risks, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities
Drive operational excellence across delivery functions
Client & Stakeholder Management
Maintain strong relationships with key clients and internal stakeholders
Ensure customer expectations are clearly understood and achieved
Resolve escalated delivery issues in a timely and professional manner
Support long-term client satisfaction and retention
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with sales, operations, product, finance, and support teams
Align resources and priorities to meet delivery commitments
Support new business opportunities through effective execution planning
Improve coordination across departments
Team Leadership
Lead and develop delivery managers, project leaders, and operational teams
Build a high-performance, accountable, and customer-focused culture
Support hiring, coaching, and succession planning
Promote collaboration and continuous learning
Process Improvement & Transformation
Standardize delivery workflows and governance models
Implement tools and systems that improve visibility and efficiency
Lead transformation initiatives that enhance execution capability
Promote innovation in service delivery practices
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Engineering, or related field
10+ years of experience in delivery, operations, project management, or service leadership
Strong leadership and team management skills
Proven ability to manage large-scale delivery operations
Excellent communication, planning, and stakeholder management abilities
Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset
Preferred Qualifications
MBA or advanced degree preferred
Experience in consulting, technology, manufacturing, logistics, or professional services
Background in PMO, program management, or client delivery environments
Experience leading transformation or process improvement programs
