About the role:

In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of patient growth and education as one of the first touchpoints a potential patient has with our program. The Patient Engagement Specialist will be responsible for building relationships with potential patients and educating them on Override’s service offering. You will be Override’s brand ambassador and should excel at making relationships with people.  You will be an expert in all things Override – thoughtfully responding to member questions, solving problems, and making them feel heard.

We’re looking for a candidate with exceptional communication and active listening skills and a demonstrated track record of working directly with patients. Key Responsibilities

• Perform outbound calls to members of health plans and discuss the benefits of Override’s programs, and how our services can help
• Consult with prospective patients via phone, email, and text about Override’s value proposition to close inbound leads
• Own the entire sales cycle from inbound lead to close, directly contributing to Override’s growth targets 
• Maintain extensive knowledge of our products and services, and how they help our patients
• Utilize phone, scheduling, and CRM tools to manage calls and patient onboarding ensuring the highest quality customer service in every interaction
• Apply best practices in responding to member questions or objections, and ensure high quality follow-up in responding to inbound calls & voicemails.
• Respond to the needs of any prospective patient, and act as their key point of contact
• Represent the mission, voice, and brand of Override
• Engage in ongoing training and educational opportunities provided by Override for better sales enablement

Qualifications 

• 1+ years of healthcare or direct to consumer sales experience – ideally inside or phone sales for a technology-driven company. Candidates who have worked directly with patients are encouraged to apply. 
• Comfortable making outbound calls
• Excited by working in a fast-paced and high-demand environment
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, including tangible patience and empathy which are demonstrated in writing, in person, over the phone, and on video
• Exceptional active listening skills, ability to pick up on verbal and non-verbal cues, and ability to create a dialogue where the customer feels heard 
• A consumer-first mindset and passion for above-and-beyond customer service
• Ability to work from home uninterrupted in a quiet environment with strong internet connection 
• Proficiency with using a CRM sales system to input, track, and close leads
• Has a passion for healthcare and is excited to support chronic pain patients through their healthcare journey

Preferred Qualifications 

• Demonstrated history working with chronic pain patients 
• Experience with motivational interviewing techniques is a plus, particularly when used to support patient engagement and behavior change.
