Job Summary
Anchor Title, a fast-pace title company, is currently looking for a top-notch candidate eager to fill a full-time role as a Closing Assistant. This is an hourly wage position with competitive benefit offerings including: medical insurance and paid time off. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn about the title insurance business.
Job Responsibilities
· Directly assists the Closer/Manager, from file intake and set up, clearing title issues, ordering payoffs/ estoppels and coordinating closings
· Assists Closing Agents with maintaining accuracy of files throughout closing process and informs appropriate persons if need for additional documentation or actions arise
· Collaborates with realtors and lenders to prepare closing statements, schedule closing, prepare and record documents and make appropriate disbursements associated with the settlement process
· Supports the preparation of closing disclosures, ALTA Settlement Statement, sellers documents and other curative documents when applicable
· Processes incoming and outgoing recordings
· Proactively works to identify issues with forward progress of loan and title work and facilitates timely problem solving to help ensure timely closings for clients and stakeholders
· Responsible for proactively communicating and providing weekly status updates to realtors regarding closing process of open files
· Performs other functions and duties as required as agreed upon with management
Skills and Qualifications
· Displays strong interpersonal, administrative skills and ability to work independently as well as part of a team, handle high volume of files and be able to prioritize tasks required
· Demonstrates eagerness to learn and grow in the title insurance industry
· Ability to gain proficiency with local Probrate Court Search Engine for basic document search, Microsoft Office suite, SoftPro, Pro-Trust and robust computer skills strongly preferred
· Practices highly effective organizational skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
· Demonstrates ability to collaborate and influence outcomes through effective written and verbal communication skills
· Ideal candidate will be professional and polished with excellent customer service skills
· Must have the flexibility to assist with late closings when required
· Prior knowledge of the real estate or title industry is helpful and complementary, but not required
