The Opportunity
We are looking for a Head of Franchise Sales to own and build our franchise development engine. This person will lead our existing franchise sales team, personally close deals, and design the systems and strategy that takes us from 45 to 200 units. You will report directly to the CEO and have a seat at the table as we scale.
This role is for someone who has been the heavy lifter on a franchise sales team — not just a manager of a system that already existed, but the person who built the pipeline, worked the leads, and closed the deals personally. If you’ve spent your career at 500+ unit brands with large marketing machines doing the heavy lifting, this probably isn’t the right fit. What You’ll Do
- Lead and personally close franchise sales — this is a selling role, not just an oversight role
- Manage and mentor our existing franchise sales team, including our Senior Director of Franchise Sales
- Build and refine the franchise development infrastructure: lead generation, pipeline management, discovery day process, and CRM discipline
- Develop outbound prospecting strategies to find qualified franchisee candidates — not just manage inbound leads
- Represent French Florist at franchise expos, IFA events, and industry conferences
- Work closely with CEO and leadership on territory strategy, franchisee qualification criteria, and growth targets
- Own monthly and annual franchise sales targets and report on pipeline health and conversion rates
What We’re Looking For
Must-Haves
- 7+ years in franchise development or franchise sales, with demonstrated personal closing experience
- Experience building or significantly scaling a franchise sales function — ideally in a brand’s 20–300 unit growth window
- Track record of personally closing franchise agreements, not just overseeing a team that did
- Experience selling a lifestyle, community, or experience-driven concept — where storytelling matters as much as unit economics
- High energy, self-motivated, and comfortable with the pace and ambiguity of an emerging brand
- Strong command of the franchise sales process end-to-end: lead generation, qualification, FDD delivery, discovery day, and closing
Nice to Have
- CFE certification
- Experience as a franchisee yourself — owner-operators who’ve moved into franchise development bring invaluable perspective
- Background in wellness, fitness, food & beverage, or other lifestyle franchise categories
- Existing relationships in the franchise broker and consultant community
Compensation & Benefits
The total on-target earnings for this role are $160,000 – $300,000 annually.
This includes:
- Base Salary: $110,000 – $140,000
- Performance-Based Commission: $60,000 – $160,000.
