Director, Content Marketing Full Time

This is a senior leadership role responsible for defining and scaling a modern content marketing strategy within a fast-evolving digital and AI-driven discovery landscape. You will lead the transformation of how a brand communicates across channels, ensuring content is discoverable, engaging, and impactful across SEO, AI-generated answers, social platforms, and industry communities. The role combines strategic vision with hands-on leadership, building a high-performing team across editorial, social, and emerging content formats such as video. You will shape a multi-format content ecosystem that fuels brand awareness, demand generation, and customer engagement across the full lifecycle. Working closely with product marketing, demand generation, and brand teams, you will ensure consistent messaging and storytelling alignment. This is a highly influential role where content becomes a core driver of growth, positioning, and category leadership in a rapidly changing market.

Accountabilities

• Define and lead the end-to-end content marketing strategy across formats, channels, and audience segments, balancing brand awareness, authority, and demand generation
• Build, scale, and mentor a high-performing content team across editorial, social media, and emerging content formats such as video
• Design and manage a multi-format content ecosystem including editorial content, social storytelling, customer narratives, and thought leadership initiatives
• Establish a scalable content cadence that supports campaigns, product launches, and always-on storytelling across the full marketing funnel
• Ensure content performance drives measurable business impact across awareness, engagement, pipeline generation, and customer retention
• Optimize content strategy for modern discovery channels including SEO, AI-driven search, and zero-click environments
• Continuously test and evolve content formats, distribution strategies, and messaging based on audience behavior and performance data
• Partner closely with product marketing to align messaging and narrative development, and with demand generation to support pipeline growth
• Collaborate with brand and creative teams to ensure cohesive storytelling and high-quality content execution
• Define standards for content excellence and elevate storytelling quality across all touchpoints

Requirements

• 8-10+ years of experience in content marketing, editorial strategy, or thought leadership roles, including 5+ years in leadership positions
• Proven experience building or scaling content engines within SaaS, technology, or high-growth digital environments
• Strong understanding of how content drives business outcomes across brand, demand generation, and customer lifecycle stages
• Deep knowledge of modern discovery ecosystems, including SEO, AI-driven search, and emerging answer engines
• Experience leading multi-format content strategies across written, social, video, and digital storytelling channels
• Strong editorial instincts with the ability to identify and shape compelling narratives
• Proven track record of building scalable content systems and processes rather than one-off campaigns
• Strong cross-functional leadership experience working with product marketing, demand generation, and brand teams
• Analytical mindset with the ability to connect content performance to measurable business outcomes
• Experience with tools such as CMS platforms (e.g., Contentful), analytics tools (e.g., GA4, Looker), workflow tools (e.g., Asana), and AI content tools is a plus
