Roster manages the hiring process for the top global creators and brands. Owner, a restaurant growth platform valued at over $1 billion, is looking for a YouTube Channel Manager to lead their long-form content operation end to end. Their YouTube and Instagram channels are category leaders in the restaurant space, regularly driving over 3 million organic impressions per month — and they’re just getting started. We’re helping them fill this position.
If you’re a multifaceted creative who thrives at the intersection of strategy, production, and analytics, this is the role for you.
Requirements:
- You’re based in San Francisco, CA and available on-site
- You have 3+ years of experience in YouTube channel management or development
- You have a deep understanding of the YouTube landscape: ideation, formats, thumbnails, titles, and retention editing
- You have strong analytical instincts and are comfortable working with performance data
- You have experience managing creative teams and production workflows
- You have strong written and verbal communication skills
- You’re proficient with project management and collaboration tools
- Knowledge of editing software and Photoshop is a plus but not required
Responsibilities:
- Define channel strategy and content formats as Owner scales toward 100K subscribers across its brand channels
- Manage editors, thumbnail designers, videographers, and pre-production workflows
- Lead A/B testing for packaging and thumbnails across the back catalogue
- Maintain and present YouTube scorecard metrics — retention, view velocity, and subscriber growth — to leadership
- Continuously research and test new YouTube features, algorithm shifts, and competitive strategies
- Oversee post-production and approve all final uploads
- Manage the YouTube upload calendar and coordinate with marketing and external stakeholders
