Role: Engineering Manager
Location: Remote
Role Overview:
We are hiring an Engineering Manager to lead one of Joveo’s product
engineering teams — building the people, the process, and the technical
foundation that enables sustained, high-quality delivery. You will balance
hands-on technical leadership with people management, creating an
environment where engineers do the best work of their careers.
Key Responsibilities:
– Lead, mentor, and grow a team of software engineers through regular 1:1s and feedback
– Own team delivery — planning, execution, quality, and retrospectives
– Partner with product managers to align engineering capacity with roadmap priorities
– Drive technical excellence — code quality, system design, and engineering standards
– Hire exceptional engineers and build a high-performing, inclusive team culture
– Represent your team’s work and needs in cross-functional leadership discussions
Required Skills & Qualifications:
– Experience managing software engineering teams in a technology company
– Strong technical background — ability to engage meaningfully in architecture and code reviews
– Track record of growing engineers through coaching, feedback, and career development
– Excellent written and verbal communication for distributed, async team environments
– Experience with agile delivery, sprint planning, and engineering metrics
– Ability to balance technical debt, velocity, and quality trade-offs at a team level
