About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Software Engineer to join our core engineering team in a high-growth environment. This role involves collaborating closely with clinical, operations, and product teams to develop innovative technology solutions that enhance healthcare delivery. The ideal candidate will be passionate about building impactful products that improve health outcomes and will have extensive experience in full-stack development. You will be instrumental in designing and implementing an integrated, intelligent platform that proactively manages healthcare at scale, making high-quality benefits accessible and engaging for members, providers, and employers alike. Your work will involve developing mobile applications, web platforms, and APIs, as well as integrating advanced technologies such as machine learning to automate and enhance care workflows. You will have the opportunity to influence technical architecture, contribute to best practices, and lead projects from conception through deployment, fostering a collaborative and innovative engineering culture.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience writing production code across the full technology stack
• Proficiency in React, React Native, Typescript, Python, Django, Postgres, Docker, and AWS
• Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and best practices
• Experience developing mobile applications, web applications, and APIs
• Familiarity with machine learning models, agentic workflows, and automation in healthcare
• Experience working with healthcare data, ETL processes, and integrating third-party health tech solutions
• Proven ability to lead projects from ideation to release
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Experience recruiting and mentoring engineering talent from diverse backgrounds
• Passion for healthcare innovation and improving patient outcomes

Responsibilities

• Partner with clinical, operations, and product teams to design and develop technology solutions for health plan and care experiences
• Build and maintain mobile apps, web platforms, and APIs that deliver high-quality health benefits and care services
• Develop and optimize agentic workflows utilizing machine learning models to automate care management, navigation, and proactive interventions
• Integrate third-party vendors and emerging health tech innovations to expand platform capabilities and data sources
• Work on both member-facing and clinical intelligence platforms used by care teams to deliver efficient, high-quality care
• Own projects from initial concept through deployment, influencing both product features and technical design decisions
• Contribute to the development of technical architecture, coding standards, and best practices across the engineering team
• Assist in recruiting talented engineers and fostering an inclusive, collaborative team environment
• Continuously seek opportunities to improve platform performance, security, and scalability
